Attendance Policy

Research has shown a cause and effect relationship between attendance and college success. Policies for this course are described below: There are about 16 weeks every semester; students are expected to attend at least 14 lessons per semester. This is a credit course that is required to meet 4 hours per week - one hour with your applied faculty plus three additional hours, exclusive of course preparation by the student. You are allowed one "free" weekly lesson absence per semester. This "free" absence will not count against your grade. For all other unexcused absences, you will be given a "0" for that week's lesson grade unless you bring an official excuse, for example, a medical excuse signed by the doctor.
